Julie (Birkhofer) Curry was born in Omaha, and grew up in Gretna until her father transferred to St. Louis, Missouri when the General Motors plant closed in Omaha. She graduated from St. Charles High School in Missouri and joined the US Navy in 1981, and for the next 10 years, served on the East Coast at various bases as a Data Processing Technician, her favorite being aboard the sub tender, L.Y. Spear stationed out of Norfolk, Virginia. In 1986, she married her husband Deno Curry, in Virginia Beach, VA. He was also a Navy Veteran, and they started a family in 1993 with the birth of their daughter, Rachel, and then their son, William, being born in 1996. When Deno retired from the military, the family decided to move back to Omaha, so that the kids would be able to be near grandparents and other family members.
Julie began working for Reichmuth Funeral Home in January 1999, and has enjoyed the flexibility of working for a family owned business. She claims that all her life experience prior to joining Reichmuth’s has really helped her enjoy a job that allows her to do something different every day, helping to prepare for funeral services, working with different families and the dynamics that come with them make her job interesting and satisfying.

Janet Reichmuth (retired), Receptionist

Janet worked at Swanson Funeral Home, now Reichmuth Funeral Home for over thirty years. She was called upon to perform most any task including home removals. Most of all, Janet was the friendly voice on the phone when families and friends called with questions and requests. Janet is now retired and currently resides at Brookestone Meadows.

Donna has been with Reichmuth Funeral Home for 12 years. She enjoys working with the public. Donna and her husband Ken owned and managed Ken's Jack and Jill in Valley, Nebraska for 33 years. Donna has 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She continues to be active in the community and her church.

I began working for Reichmuth Funeral Homes in April of 2012. What started as a part time job has turned into rewarding experience with the bonus of being compensated. I hold many ‘hats’ that include funeral assistant, lunch server, backup receptionist, and janitor, just to name a few. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Jeff, since 1988. We have 2 boys, Zach and Colton, who both graduated from Mount Michael in 2015 and 16. In our free time, Jeff and I love visiting the Florida Keys and Gulf side of Florida. We enjoy back country and deep sea fishing and watching the sunsets on the beach.

Arlene Cochran was born in Jackson County, Minnesota. She lived there until age 12 and then has moved around, living in several states. She now resides in Valley. Prior to working at Reichmuth Funeral Homes, she worked 24+ years at Valhaven Nursing Home in Valley. Arlene enjoys working at the funeral home, helping the staff to serve the community with dignity and pride. When not working, she spends time with family and friends.

I have worked for Reichmuth Funeral Home for 1 ½ years. I am retired from 30 years at J.C. Robinson Seed Co. as an executive secretary. I grew up in O’Neill, Nebraska and attended grade school there before moving to Fremont, where I graduated from high school. I attended Wayne State College. My husband, Carl, and I moved to Valley, NE in the 1970’s where I still live. Carl died in 2013. I have one son in Florida and another son and daughter who live in Valley. I enjoy working at the funeral home with a great group of people.

I've been with Reichmuth Funeral Home since January 2017. Jon Reichmuth hired
me after observing my work as an altar server for funerals at my local church.
I must say I love the work as I immensely enjoy helping people, something I did
during my 21 year Air Force career. My wife, Suzanne and I have lived in the
Bennington area for eleven years and enjoy the company of our dogs, especially
dachshunds. I look forward to serving the clientele of Reichmuth Funeral Home in
any way I can.

Jeff Hicks is a pastor at Florence Christian Church, in Northeast Omaha. He and his wife Angie have three grown & married children, and five grandchildren. He has worked "on call" for Reichmuth Funeral Home for nearly 2 years, and enjoys being part of a team that extends compassion and professionalism to families during their time of loss.

Mike grew up in the North Omaha area of Florence. He went to Archbishop Rummel High School and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Mike served his country in the Navy and spent #me in Southeast Asia. A$er his #me in the Navy, Mike went to work for Mutual of Omaha Insurance before being hired at Omaha Public Power District. Mike work for OPPD for over 37 years all at the North Omaha Power Sta#on where he was the Training Coordinator. Mike re#red from OPPD in 2013. He currently stays busy working around the home, working at Reichmuth Funeral Home and at Hy-Vee. Mikeis married to his wife Susie. He is blessed with 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

Rachel (Curry) Kruse was born in the Virginia Beach, Virginia where she grew up until her family moved to Omaha in 1999. She graduated from Omaha North High in 2011, and attended Metropolitan Community College in the fall. She achieved a liberal arts degree in 2014 and in that same year, Rachel married her high school sweetheart, Aaron Kruse. Earlier this year, Rachel decided to return to school to pursue her dream in Fashion Design.

Rachel has worked for Reichmuth Funeral Home since 2010. Interacting with families through serving at luncheons and funeral services is what she enjoys most about her job.
