Life Story for Raymond Antone Weibel
Raymond Antone Weibel was born on December 9, 1920 in West Point, Nebraska to George and Amelia (Ludwig) Weibel. He grew up in West Point where he attended grade school. As a young boy, much of his time was spent working on the family farm.
Ray married Catherine “Kitty” Dugan in February of 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska. Ray and Kitty were blessed with four children: Raymond, Roseanne, Jeane and Tom and they made their home in the Omaha area.
Ray worked as a butcher in a grocery store before going to work for Western Weing as an inspector. He enjoyed fishing, camping and square dancing. Ray was a good provider and devoted family man. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering. Ray savored a meal of steak, potatoes and apple pie, a cold iced tea and dinner out at Runza and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Ray passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Gretna Care Center in Gretna, Nebraska at the age of 97 years and 30 days. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Amelia, wife Kitty, brother Edward and sister Cathernan; Ray is survived by children Raymond and Julia of Omaha, Roseanne and Mike Kielian of Omaha, Jeane and Howard Schmidt of Clearwater, FL and Tom of Omaha; 13 grandchildren;
